when we built the first POM production facility in Ulsan.

    • Transfer of 10% Shares from Mitsubishi Corporation to Global Polyacetal Co., Ltd

    • Expanded our Ulsan POM facility to a nameplate capacity of 145,000 MTs (300+ million pounds) per year
    • Selected as one of World Class Products by Ministry of Knowledge Economy
  • 2012
    • Received a grand prize from Korea Foundation for Quality in the “New Quality SR (Social Responsibility)” category
  • 2008
    • Started our super high performance engineering (extra high modulus) polymer MXD6
  • 2005
    • Received New Quality Innovation Award by Korea Foundation for Quality
  • 2004
    • Became active in high performance engineering polymers (PPS, LCP & KEP-PEEK)

    • Completed the Pyeongtaek EP (PA6, PA66, PBT) facility with a nameplate production capacity of 5,000 MTs (11 million pounds) per year

    • KEP earned ISO/TS 16949 for Automotive quality control management. This was the first ISO certification of a Korean chemical company. We also earned ISO14001 certification for environmental stewardship

    • Hyosung's shares were transferred to the global integrated chemical company Celanese. Celanese (50%), MGC (40%), MC (10%)

    • Received QS9000 / ISO 9001 certification
  • 1994
    • Earned ISO9002 certification from TUV Rheinland
  • 1988
    • Commercial production of POM begins at the Ulsan facility, the first of its kind in Korea.
